School Procedures
Beginning & End of School Day
Children should not arrive in school before 8.55 am unless arrangements have been made with breakfast club. All parents should ring for access and close the door behind them. The main entrance door should be kept closed.
On collection the first parent should ring for access and then close the door behind them. They must then only open the door for parents who are known to them.
Parents who are admitted wait in the foyer and do not have access to the classrooms. A member of staff is on duty as the children leave and delivers the children into the hands of their parent/carers. If no one collects the child, they remain in school with the member of staff until parents are contacted, or late collection procedures are implemented.
Please also note: the red door is always kept closed to ensure your child’s safety, and should never be fastened back.
Medication
We have no legal duty to administer any medication. However we recognise that there are instances where this may become necessary. If this is the case please discuss with Mrs Evans. Parents please leave written signed instructions for the administration of any medicines to your child/ren with Mrs Evans. Please leave a correct measuring medicine spoon with the medicine. All medicine should be clearly labelled with the child’s name, date and dosage and in its original container. Please ensure the medicine is taken home at the end of every day. Please be aware that on a busy day Mrs Evans may forget to administer the dose or may not even be in school. Thank you
